Erectile dysfunction is an increasingly common male health problem. Injection therapy for erectile disorders is considered a second-line treatment in clinical practice—we resort to it when previous treatment with shockwave therapy or oral medications does not yield sufficient results.
Failure of shockwave therapy can be caused by vascular damage to the penis due to diabetes or atherosclerosis, neurological diseases, more severe psychiatric diagnoses and their pharmacological treatment, as well as conditions after prostate or colon surgery.
The injection therapy itself is not technically demanding. After thorough training at our facility, almost every man with adequate motivation for sexual intercourse can manage it independently. A significant advantage of this method is that an erection occurs even without sexual arousal—exclusively as a physiological response to the administered substance.
We have been working on injection therapy for erectile dysfunction for over 25 years. During this period, we have not recorded any serious adverse effects.
