Frenulotomy — surgical division of a short penile frenulum — is a routine minor urological procedure. At our clinic, we perform the procedure with maximum emphasis on patient comfort: we use the most modern local anaesthetics and exclusively absorbable suture material, so the entire course is painless and does not require later stitch removal.
There are two indications for frenulotomy: an anatomically short frenulum and premature ejaculation. Sick leave after the procedure is not necessary — it is sufficient to observe sexual abstinence for 14 days.
If you are healthy, do not take medications that affect blood clotting, and arrange the procedure by phone in advance, it can be performed on the same day as your examination by the doctor, without the need for a prior consultation.
If you are interested in having the procedure under general anaesthesia (induced sleep), a preoperative consultation is required — please contact our reception and schedule an appointment.
In the treatment of premature ejaculation (ejaculatio praecox), frenulotomy is the standard first therapeutic step. For some patients, the procedure alone is sufficiently effective. If the result does not meet expectations, treatment is supplemented with other options — antidepressant-based pharmacotherapy or local anaesthetics applied directly to the penis.
